Zeolites are formed from the combination of volcanic ash and sea salt over millions of years. Each zeolite is an extremely hard and honeycomb-like structure containing many permeated ducts and cavities throughout its structure. These caves, also called channels, are openings where heavy metals and toxins can bind to. Once they are bound they are flushed out naturally through the urine.

A three-dimensional framework produces net negative charge that traps environmental pollutants and is balanced by the exchangeable cations Calcium, Magnesuim, Phosphate.

The zeolites naturally attract ALL positive minerals such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium and iron. These common positive cations then are displaced by heavy metals such as cadmium, mercury, nickel, and arsenic and removed safely from the body. The zeolites have been filled with all of these "good" heavy metals so that when a zeolite comes into contact with a harmful heavy metal it exchanges it by releasing a good metal for a bad metal.
